Haemovit B® liquid contains iron, copper, cobalt & folic acid to supply diets
which may be deficient in the essential minerals.
Iron: Is an essential component of hemoglobin, myoglobin, the cytochromes
and other enzymatic systems and is involved in the transport of oxygen to cells.
Iron requirements of young animals are higher than those of mature ruminants
Deficiencies are most likely to occur in young animals because cow milk is lower in iron.
Copper: Colostrums contains more copper than milk and the amount of copper
in milk decreases with the length of lactation.
Copper is also involved in bone development and the maintenance of elastic connective tissue.
Cobalt: is dietary essential for cattle because it is necessary for the syntheses of vitamin B12
by the gastrointestinal microbes which is used by both animal tissues and micro organisms.
Cobalt has a role in nerve cell function.
About 3% of ingested cobalt is converted to vitamin B12 (in the rumen).
some Deficiency symptoms appear as:
Low liver and plasma B12 concentration.
Weight loss
Milk production decreased
Folic Acid: is one of the most important nutrients to have during the first trimester
of pregnancy and before conception, deficient in folic acid have a greater risk of having abnormal fetus.
SOME DEFICIENCY SYMPTOMS APPEAR AS:
• Severe diarrhea
• rapid weight loss
• rough hair coat
• loss of hair color
• swelling at the end of leg bone
• delayed estrus and reduce reproduction
• retained placenta
